If completed, AJA will enhance K&S' existing portfolio of semiconductor, electronic assembly and advanced display production equipment, while also providing K&S with new access to the broader dispensing market.

K&S said that the dispensing equipment market is expected to continue to expand in the future, providing new growth opportunities for the company, and AJA's existing market position and capabilities in the field of high-precision dispensing are K&S in electronic assembly, advanced packaging and Mini and Micro LED fields Provides long-term development opportunities. AJA's technology has now been combined with K&S's mass transfer equipment PIXALUX™ to support the production of high-volume Mini LED displays.

K&S revealed that the acquisition includes the design and manufacture of high-precision dispensing equipment for flux, solder paste, epoxy, adhesive and underfill applications.

Specifically, AJA's proprietary dispensing head driver, combined with its AI-driven software, provides excellent end-valve dispensing and process positioning accuracy while also forming the smallest possible keep-off-zone (KOZ). At the same time, embedded AOI inspection equipment and AI capabilities further differentiate AJA's solutions from peers and support K&S's transformation to Industry 4.0.

The acquisition is expected to close in the second quarter of K&S' fiscal 2023.
